Our Business Philosophy
Our objective is to provide our customers with reliable service and high
quality after market products for both sail and power boats that you haven't been able to find anywhere else. We
hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and using our products as much as we enjoy developing them for you.
Product Development
Our products have all originated
from the need to solve some nautical problem. In many cases they have been developed
to solve a problem that we have personally encountered.
We begin by carefully defining the problem, taking digital pictures where possible and listing the parameters
of an acceptable solution, e.g. quality, size, weight, maintenance, cost, etc.
Search for a Solution
Our search
for a solution begins with an Internet and Catalog search. If someone else has already solved the problem why re-invent the
wheel? When we
are unable to find anything suitable to meet our parameters we turn our focus to generating ideas.
Prototype Products
Our digital photographs are used to develop detailed engineering drawings for each conceptual solution. Promising concepts become mockups and successful mockups lead to prototype
products. When the prototype measures up to our acceptance criteria then it is installed for field trials on our own
boat.

Our Company
Our business is family owned and operated. The two principals, a Professional
Engineer and an Artist, have sailed for many years accumulating thousands of nautical miles under our keel. We
have been interested in starting our own business for several years and are excited to finally have reached that goal.
Taking our business to the web makes the process even more exciting.
Commercial Products
Each commercial product that we offer is a solution to a nautical need that has been installed, tested and used
on our own sailboat – a Catalina 42 MkI, named Stand Sure .
